As Plants perform photosynthesis, they absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. Oxygen is a must for us to survive hence having plants around becomes very important. When photosynthesis stops at night, most plants absorb oxygen and release carbon dioxide. However, a few special plants – like Orchids, Succulents and Snake plant (aka Mother- in- laws tongue) – convert significant amounts of carbon dioxide and release oxygen at night. - Ecofriendly and Resilient
Ecodor Products come with a Cocopot which is made from compressed natural fibres and hence is completely biodegradable when put into soil. No, don’t worry, it wont disintegrate whenyou pot your plant. The disintegration process will take time since layers of fibres are compressed together. The pots are flexible and non breakable.
- Airy, low maintenance and light weight
The pot being made from fibres has minute gaps that ventilate the roots of the plant well. The nutritive mud that is provided in the package is also a mixture of cocopeat with natural fertilizers. The combination of the mud and the cocopot has a high moisture retaining capacity which means one need not pour a lot of water frequently.* The pot and mud being fibrous, and the structure being a wire frame are very lightweight and thus a potted plant in an Ecodor product would be light and ideal to hung on hooks indoors or outdoors.

- Fruits-
Lemon– The sour tasting yellow fruit has been used throughout the world, primarily for its juice, which has both culinary and cleaning uses.

Tomato– Is a widely used fruit that is used in the Indian Cusine. Why run to the market when you can grow it at home?

Cucumber– Cucumbers, like watermelons, are 95% water, they keep the body hydrated and help regulate the body’s inner temperature. They also help the body flush out toxins.

Chilli– Apart from being a flovouring agent in our food, Chillis also help prevent heart diseases and control blood sugar levels.

- Flowering-
Portulaca– Portulaca flowers are truly beautiful in various garden and landscape settings and come in a variety of colours. This plant is also called 9’o clock plant or Office plant as it flowers at about 9 am which is when offices start their day.

Dianthus– Dianthus are garden classics, appearing in many shapes and colours, perfect for small bouquets.

Geraniums– Geraniums make popular bedding plants in the garden, but they’re also commonly grown indoors or outside in hanging baskets.

Indoor
- Succelents-
Aloe Vera– Ample light and no excess water is what serves best for this ‘genius’ plant. It has been referred to as ‘Genius’ because it caters to health, beauty and your home decor all at once. Known extensively for its multi-uses; this plant grows effortlessly in Indian weather conditions.

- Flowering-
Peace Lily– Apart from appealing you aesthetically; this plant enhances the indoor air quality and has the ability to filter chemicals like benzene, formaldehyde and ammonia. Peace Lilies are drought resistant and are adapted to under-watering. Additionally, they require no fertilization.

- Ornamental-
Fishtail Ferns– Fish tale fern is an evergreen plant and will keep green round the year. The plant is a great option for indoors as it needs little sunlight. The water needs for this fern are also average hence the ease of maintenance. The plant is known for purifying the air around it thus is good for indoor use.

Moneyplants– The Money plant is a grower’s choice for both indoor and outdoor in larger pots or hangover. Money plant can grow without much assistance and care. It is believed that money plant brings good luck, prosperity, happiness and wealth.

Daracaena– Do you love gardening but haven’t got much time for maintenance? Dracaena is the low maintenance green that will suit you. No light – no problem; no humidity – no problem, you forgot to water- still no problem; the plant grows effortlessly and maintains itself.

Partial Sunlight/ Shade
- Flowering-
Anthuriums– This artistic beauty needs a lot of indirect sunlight and can be the perfect piece to equip the space by the window. Moderate but regular watering is a must for this flowering plant.

Orchids-Orchids are averse to direct sunlight and require shade to bloom and that is why they serve well as an indoor plant. This beauty needs regular watering around the year in moderate quantities

Azalea– Indoor species of this beautiful flowering plant is native to India. The plant is known to purify the air around it and is cherished for their aesthetic appearance.

* the frequency of water varies from plant to plant but on an average in this type of pot, the frequency of water required is less. Ask your local gardener/nursery how much water your plant would require and spray water ccordingly.
